Below are freerolls around the net and also some notes from
the head man himself, enjoy and good luck at the tables.
Multiple times daily freeroll
tournaments for experience, fun and of course some bucks as well.
The freeroll tournaments work on a multiple schedule format,
meaning place in one and qualify for a bigger one down the road.
The schedule tentatively is as follows:
Monday - Friday
4:00am Top 5 $12.50 pool game - Cost to get in is 2
tournament points
5:30am Eastern Kayworks Early Morning Freeroll $5 added pot (placement enters
you in weekly final)
11am Eastern Morning Kayworks $5 added (placement enters you in
monthly final)
Strengths
A tournament is always going on any
time of the day, so you are usually no more than an hour
at the most away from a tournament if that is your play
(and I love tournaments, so yes sir!)
The lowest levels to be able to play live games are also
available here (.10/.20 limit and .05/.10 PL and NL) so
you can get your feet wet here very cheaply.
Monthly tournament to buy-in with earned tournament
points (tp's) pays out $500+ monthly
Poker clubs Kayworks and Victory Poker make their home
here, so if you need any help, either group is able to
help you out.
Always a new promotion and or tournament lurking about to get you in the
playing mood!
Weaknesses
They don't have all the poker games available (Currently
only Hold'em and Omaha)
NOTE: Freerolls are currently sparatic here as they have just gone into new
management. More information on a schedule when they have one available...
Strengths
Variety of tournaments available (Multi-table or single
table games)
Partnership with BetCris allows sportsbook players to
transfer money to their poker account or vice versa
without having to cashin and then redeposit with the
other site.
Weaknesses
Support isn't available 24 hours a day so taking care of
a issue that happens later in the night or early in the
morning. This is at least partially covered by allowing
emails from the live chat application during off support
hours. This is being addressed with the new Management!
Rule Point
Poker Bucks won during promotions or freerolls are able
to be played at the table. They require a 200 hand
playthrough at $.50/$1 or higher in order to be redeemed
or cashed out. PL, NL, and 1 on 1 play does not count to
meet the requirement
NEW RULE TO GO INTO EFFECT SOON -- Instead of Poker Bucks, any
promotion money will go into a bonus money account that will be released
as hands are played and raked... The moment the money is rleased it's
yours and free to be withdrawn as soon as it's released.
Big Bet Poker has gone live and is available for play 24x7.
Promotions still abound from time to time at this location.
NOTE: For this site's freerolls, you can usually register at
least 12 hours in advance, and sometimes as much as several days
in advance.
Strengths
Full List of games available for the player, and a unique
software environment will make this not like any ordinary
site they visit.
Weaknesses
Sometimes support can be spotty (from personal
experience).
Not always a full compliment of players to give you the game of your
choice. This should fix itself while it builds a following.
Update - Support seems spotty at least what has been given to this
web administrator. Keep this in mind while playing.
Twenty-Four Hour Poker (24h) - www.24hpoker.com Name for
referral: cparsley
Two blitz freerolls for $10 each are played at varying times weekdays. Top eight players advance to Saturday
Blitz Finals for a larger pool and top 3 during the daily ones
also receive small cash prizes.
Strengths
The blitz freerolls are usually during the times of day
where other sites don't have games, so it fills a void of
freerolls.
Winnings are paid as actual cash, without strings
attached.
European poker game "Soko" is played here, as
well as $10,000 VIP tournaments (just play some raked hands during the
timeframe to qualify for it).
Weaknesses
Majority of players are European as the site is geared
more to a European audience, so some American players may
feel out of place here.
Daily freerolls played for $50 Monday
thru Friday and $100 on the weekends. Game played rotates during the week.
NOTE: For this site's freerolls, you may register up to twelve
hours in advance to be in the game.
Strengths
Each freeroll is a different game,
so at least one of the freerolls are bound to trigger
your style.
The lonely art of five card draw
lowball is played here, and tournaments can be found for this game as
well.
Playing live earns players Planet
Points, which can be used to buy-in to tournaments held
at the site for money.
The Mad Genius of poker, Mike Caro,
lends his name to this cardroom.
Weaknesses
While the majority of poker games
ever played are able to be played here, most games still
center around Hold'em and Omaha.
Freerolls have 400 players and
only three spots are paid.
Sunday afternoon freeroll played at varying times Eastern time. No Limit Hold'em is usually the game of
choice.
Update -- CCCPoker is currently only being listed
for archival purposes only as it seems the connection to their poker room has
disappeared. Will update if that changes.
Strengths
CCCPoker has it's information in
English and German to help European players.
Affiliation with the Vienna cardroom
lends CCCPoker immediate credibility in the marketplace.
Weaknesses
Other than the one weekly freeroll,
no other promotions can be seen here.
The freeroll has been cut from $100
to $50 on the weekly freeroll on Sunday.
The layout is totally European,
going against the majority of cardrooms currently on the
net. (the period replaced by the comma etc)
Overall player count seems to be low on this
cardroom, except for freeroll Sunday.
Site is currently LIVE! and freerolls are played
daily every two hours on their software. The prize awarded is mainly poker
bucks, that can be used to play the games baby!
Strengths
Games unique to Poker are here at Popular Poker,
including Big River hold'em and five card Omaha.
Support staff are available by a quick phone call or are
always able to be found on the software.
A family atmosphere abounds here, so it's an enjoyable
place to play poker and test the software for them at the
same time
Weaknesses
Cash play seems to be soft, but that should come around with time.
Software still has bugs, especially with slow server connection speeds
during the game.
Freeroll Information
To receive CASH prizes, a minimum of one
deposit is required once the site goes live, or the
player forfeits prizes won.
This requirement at the current time is currently waived.
Freeroll games played daily with
advancement to the weekend freeroll where cash prizes are doled
out.
Strengths
Stars runs numerous promotions
during their games, for their games etc.
Playing live earns the player
Frequent Player Points (FPPs) which can be used to buy-in
to special tournaments.
They have held games for many live
and major tournaments, qualifying occurring right in the
tourney software.
Several folks in the online world have said Poker
Stars' software is one of the best for tournament poker on the net today.
Chris Moneymaker, 2003 WSOP champion, came from a
$40 tournament at PokerStars
World Series of Online Poker (WSOOP) is held here
as well (Qualification can occur via freerolls, read below)
Weaknesses - (Sort of)
Freerolls used to be on the cheap side, but
PokerStars has stepped up to the plate. Qualifying in one of the first
round tournament let's you play in a weekend game for free seats into a
WSOOP event!

$25: Taf25
Daily game at 3pm Eastern time for an entry into their Party
Poker Million III, where one can win a cruise and one million
dollars in cash. This event is now also part of the WPT, so qualifiers will get
to play to be on the Travel Channel series.
NOTE: For this site's freerolls, you can register up to 24 hours
in advance.
Strengths
Cruise and one million dollars is a major strength
for any site, and PartyPoker has used it extremely to
their benefit.
Affiliation with Card Player Cruises for their PartyPoker
Million has benefited them, as well as the WPT
affiliation as well.
Mike Sexton lends his support to this site.
A minimum balance of $100 and average play at this site
can gain you 10% on your balance per month, something not
normally done in the industry.
Other promotions ran from time to time.
Weaknesses
Freerolls are severly few and far between currently at PartyPoker.com
Their updated software now makes them look more like just
anyone else in the crowd, their original software was a
great way to be out there.
Daily game played for $50 no deposit required... Play time is usually at 3pm Eastern Sun-Sat and the game is limit Hold'em.
Strengths
Strong play money tournaments available to hone your
skills.
Blackjack and Baccarat are also available with same poker
balance.
Nightly $1 buy-in multi-table tournament with a
guaranteed prize pool setup.
Weaknesses
The 800 player limit for the freeroll game fills up
pre-start time, so logging on at least an hour ahead of
time is needed.
With that, a lot of players are not actually present for
the game, but take up seats that people who want to play
could be in.
Only one player wins the prize of $50, 2nd place gets
nothing but some fake play money.
Only Limit Hold'em tournament games available
From time to time, sites like Ultimate Bet, Sunrise Poker and
others hold either free money giveaways or freerolls themselves.
We will try to update those as they occur.
If you know any I may have left out, please contact me at cparsley1@hotmail.com and
I'll be happy to get it added ASAP.
